The
Lady Mustangs Volleyball team came out strong Thursday night against Edgewater, getting a 2-0 lead on the match (25-21, 25-14). The Eagles' fought to hold on, however, coming back to win the next two sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-21. The Lady Mustangs, although exhausted, dug deep to pull out the win in their final set, holding the Lady Eagles to only 12 points . Thursday's victory makes the Lady Mustangs 2-1 on their season. Elena Medina with 11 assists, 1 kills, and 2 aces;
Sarah Parsons with 2 assists, 5 kills, 4 digs, and 5 aces;
Kianna Rivera with 8 kills, 2 digs, and 3 aces; and
Jessica Sanfilippo with 1 assist. The Lady Mustangs will face Cypress Creek Wednesday, September 8 at Wekiva High (6:00pm-JV; 7:30pm-Varsity).
