Coach Butts Named 2019 Teacher of the Year 8/20/2019

Women's basketball head coach Tommie Butts was announced today as Wekiva High School's teacher of the year. In addition to his phenomenal record on the basketball court, Coach Butts is also a top shelf math teacher in the classroom.

Coach Butts has also previously earned honors as the Orlando Sentinel Coach of the Year, Orlando Metro Conference Coach of the Year, and Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year, and he has led the women's basketball team to six consecutive playoff appearances, four regional championships, and two state championships in his time at Wekiva. In addition, he has coached the Flag Football team to two consecutive playoff appearances in the spring.
