Remembering Coach Markeith Williams 3/29/2025

Mustang Family, we are deeply saddened to share the loss of Wekiva Aquatics Head Coach Markeith Williams, who passed this morning peacefully with his family by his side.

Coach Williams suffered a stroke while vacationing in the Dominican Republic on December 29, 2023. Following his return to the U.S., he and his family received an incredible outpouring of support and fundraising from our community as he fought immensely hard through his health challenges these past 15 months.

We are grateful for the legacy he leaves as an example of everything a coach should be, both on and off the pool deck. Wekiva Aquatics is a tight-knit family which, apart from their success in the pool, represents Wekiva in the community above and beyond, and they have Coach Williams to thank for developing that culture which will live on for years to come.

Our hearts are with Coach Williams' family, the entire Wekiva Aquatics community past and present, and everyone who was touched by Coach Williams' life. His family will provide more information about a Celebration of Life in the coming days. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and encouragement.
